Hands on Fun!
Which has more mass? In math, we have been learning about measurement. We have measured using meter and yard sticks, finding volume using graduated cylinders, and now we are finding the mass using a pan balance. Below, you will see the students measuring different objects, and recording their data!

Did you know China had a Yellow River? Did you know that the people in China invented paper? Today, we were so excited to do a WEBQUEST on China. We learned some neat information. Below are some students working together to search for information.

Iowa Assessments
Next week, we will be taking Iowa Assessments! These tests are extremely important, and give us great information about your child. If you were notified about bring a snack to school, please have the snack at school by next Monday, January 28th. Thank you! Also, make sure your child comes to school on time, as we will be beginning promptly at 8:30. A great night's rest is extremely important!

DECEMBER!!!??
I can't believe it is December already! Where has the time gone? We have been so busy in school, and the kids are working so hard! We have been working hard in math on our addition and subtraction facts. Reading is improving, and we are also improving on our comprehension.
Cold weather is here! Please be sure to send warm clothes with your child to school everyday. Coats, gloves, hats, scarves, and when the snow comes (and stays), boots and snowpants.
